There are many factors that determine the good quality of our legumes, such as climatic conditions, the type of soil and relief, as well as human factors that are decisive in any farming activity.

Legumes are the edible seeds found inside the fruit (pod) of the group of plants known as legumes.

Preparing the land

It is clear that with such a wide variety of legumes, each one will need different conditions in terms of irrigation or sowing time. But even so, the first determination that must always be made is to condition the soil correctly.

This consists of cleaning it, ploughing it to oxygenate it and enriching it with nutrients, for example by applying manures or fertilisers.

Sowing

The time of sowing depends on the type of leguminous plant. The seeds should be sown directly in the ground, in a cool climate and with plenty of exposure to sunlight.

Once sowing has been carried out, a roller pass is usually made in order to encourage germination and to leave the soil evened out.

Harvest

Harvesting takes place 85 to 110 days after sowing.

It is usually done mechanically with a traditional cereal harvester modified for the job.

At Legumbres Raúl, we work with the most select producers to offer the best harvests under our brand, taking care of every detail from sowing to harvesting.

Reception

Legumbres Raúl has a bulk reception area and unloading bays for packaged products.

At the time of reception, sufficiently representative samples are taken so that our specialised department can assess the quality of the product we receive.

Cleaning and classification

The raw material is unloaded into a hopper and then passes through a series of machines to undergo the cleaning process.

The cleaning process that we carry out at Legumbres Raúl consists of sieving, separation by air suction, gravimetric cleaning, densimetric table (elimination by density difference) and colorimetric detection.

This whole chain of processes provides us with a product free of impurities typical of the agricultural harvesting phase, such as stones, chopped, broken, broken, vain, incubated, some crushed, etc. The result is a clean product that is ready to be stored and packaged.

Packaging

Our packaging process complies with a series of guidelines and requirements that guarantee that our products reach the consumer with all their qualities intact.

In addition, we have several lines to offer different formats, from domestic and family formats to larger formats for commercial use.

Marketing

Depending on each condition and circumstance, we can offer different types of distribution: from our own transport to various agencies with which we collaborate, depending on the geographical location of the destination.

Of course, transport, like the rest of the process, is always carried out in compliance with cleanliness and safety conditions that guarantee the safety of our products from dispatch to reception.
